ISG has been involved with its partners in the Recife Project since 2009. We are now proud to be involved in the execution phase of this exciting project.
In May 2010, the Cidade da Copa Consortium, led by Odebrecht Participações e Investimentos and Odebrecht Serviços de Engenharia e Construção, in partnership with ISG and the world-renowned stadium operator AEG Facilities, was appointed the winner of the bid for the construction and operation, for a period of 33 years, of Arena Pernambuco.
The stadium is located in São Lourenço da Mata, in the metropolitan region of Recife. ISG’s primary responsibility is the commercialization and sale of all corporate boxes, premium seating and season ticket packages at the new 45,000 capacity stadium.
The stunning new stadium design will have a variety of seating options across general grandstands, corporate boxes and premium areas. In the vicinity, 600,000 square meters of the existing Mata Atlântica native forest will be preserved, and the construction will emphasize technologies such as rainwater collection, water reuse, solar power and other solutions that use natural light and ventilation, to ensure a rational utilization of natural resources.
The stadium is part of Pernambuco State's "Cidade da Copa" project for the 2014 FIFA World Cup, an ambitious project which envisions a new, exciting entertainment destination and residential area covering approximately 250 hectares.
ISG has been involved with its partners in the Recife Project since 2009. We were responsible for conducting market research and developing the stadium’s economic viability study, seeking to explore new product offerings and introduce an enhanced, safe atmosphere to bring football events to a whole new level in Recife. We are now proud to be involved in the execution phase of this exciting project.
