Andrew Hampel
CEO
Andrew is the CEO of ISG and a highly experienced and respected senior executive in the field of sports marketing and in particular in the stadia and arena financing sector.
He was educated at Cambridge University where he gained a Rugby Blue before qualifying as a solicitor at Freshfields. He speaks fluent French and German.
He joined IMG from Freshfields as a newly qualified solicitor and acted initially as sole in-house lawyer in Europe. Over the following 18 and a half years he fulfilled many roles at IMG, including managing the business affairs of Alain Prost, Ayrton Senna, Sir Jackie Stewart and Ian Woosnam, running the motor sport and European golf divisions.
In 1998, on Ian Todd’s departure from IMG, he took responsibility for all IMG’s sports-related activity (excluding television production and distribution) in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
In 2003, he joined the newly constituted global management board of 7 people as one of only 2 non-US based executives.
Notable achievements during his latter years at IMG included responsibility for leading the global expansion of the Stadium and Arena Division. He was responsible for the Wembley transaction for IMG.
Andrew is a founding partner and CEO of the Bastion Stadia Group, which was formed in August 2006.
